Yeah, we finally got to do these golfer senior portraits!
We had scheduled the original session late last year for this spring, but, wouldn't you know it, the wettest Texas spring I can remember came around. After re-scheduling not once, but twice, the weather finally cooperated. I guess the third time was a charm.
Adam is a senior at JJ Pearce in Richardson and is about to graduate. His session was on a lovely spring day. I hadn't seen Adam since the previous fall, and I didn't even recognize him when he got out of the car to meet me at our designated spot. He showed up in a suit! With a purple shirt and tie! So handsome.
We took a few shots with his French horn. Here's one:
And then he changed clothing so we could head out to the golf course.
I asked him to bring a putter, driver, and a wood, along with some tees and golf balls. My husband, who is my assistant, is an avid golfer, which really helped. There is a lot of etiquette stuff I just don't know about. Here's my favorite shot with his driver:
Adam looked really relaxed in this shot:
And he had an antique wood that we featured here:
The last spot was a place I had used before. We rode the golf carts over to it to catch the beautiful light at the end of the day. We had only a few minutes before they had to leave, but we got some of the best shots of the day at the end of the session. Sometimes, I tell the seniors to look at the parent. I could tell that these two had a very special relationship. I love the look on his face here, as he looked at her off to the side:
And this one:
They chose to order one of my collections at their ordering session. I can hardly wait to get my hands on the book they ordered. It's going to be gorgeous!
I'm wrapping up the Class of 2015 and am looking forward to the Class of 2016 students! Your best bet is to schedule in the fall. The weather is usually more predictable and fall isn't usually nearly as busy as the spring.
