PESH Senior Portrait Session in Richardson, TX
If you have kids that play sports, you know how it is. With all the practices and games, you get to know the other parents pretty well, especially if the kids stay on the same team for several years. That is how it was with this senior model, Maggie. She played soccer with my stepdaughter when they were around 6 years old. We lost touch through the years except the occasional chance meeting at the local grocery store. After Maggie and her Mom expressed interest in my senior model program, we met at Starbucks to talk about it. Granted, I hadn't seen Maggie in about 8 years, but I never would have recognized her.
Here is one of my favorite portraits from her model session.
Doing a couple of more contemplative portraits ensures you get a variety of facial expressions:
Maggie and her Mom wanted a spring session for her regular senior portrait session. She wore three different outfits. This cream-colored dress looked great with the colors in the background:
We even had a photo bombing squirrel, which can be removed from the portrait, of course. Maggie's color choices were perfect for her. This violet went really well with her coloring:
The blue shirt brought out her eyes:
Love this one by the rocks:
A lot of thoughtful planning went into Maggie's senior session. It was no accident.
I believe that there is no substitute for an in-person consultation. It helps me get to know the seniors so they can feel comfortable from the very first shot. Plus, talking about outfits in person reinforces how important clothing choices are to a senior session. It's important because the senior needs to feel beautiful in the outfits she chooses. And the clothing needs to suit her style. Plus, the clothing needs to photograph well. Some outfits that look great in person do not photograph well and I will be there to help them decide that.
