Plano Senior Photographer's Advice To Her 17-Year-Old Self
As a Plano senior portraits photographer, I think a bit about what it was like to be a senior in high school. This prompted me to write a blog series about advice I would give to myself when I was 17years old and a senior in high school. It was fun to think back to the person I am now and the person I was then. Well, I take that back. It was fun and a little painful. We all make mistakes; that is how we learn. And I am no exception. Gosh, I wish I could take back some stuff.
But writing these pieces of advice also reminded me of how I want to live my life now. I want to be a good person, one who thinks of others, who takes care of my family, who leaves the world a better place. I want to make a difference to people through my actions in the world and through my photography.
Writing this also reminded me of all that I have to be thankful for. Life is good. Coming from a place of thankfulness changes my state of mind and humbles me.
I encourage all mom's to write lists like this. Life gets really busy with work and kids' activities, housework, cooking, coordinating everything and everything else that goes on. I encourage you to take a moment sometime soon, open up a Word document or a journal, and start writing about what you've learned since high school and what you wish you had known back then. It can be a transforming and enlightening experience. And, after you do that, post a comment below and tell me how it went.
Here are all the posts, in case you missed them:
I hope you enjoyed these and I hope you added some comments of your own to the blog. Thank you for reading!
