Memories Made Through Senior Photography Plano
The other day, I walked into my kitchen and my twelve-year-old boy was standing at the island, barefooted, fixing himself something to eat.
It hit me right in the heart and all at once. A small tear came to my eye. "Your feet!", I said, "When did they get so big?". I darted over to him, and, as I was barefoot, myself, I put my foot up next to his.
For the first time, I noticed his feet were bigger than mine. My boy is growing up. Of course, I knew that already, and I'm happy he is growing up. But, I'm also a little sad because I know he doesn't need me as much anymore.
Motherhood is about bonding and it's also about letting go.
My 12-year-old was a very tiny premature baby, born at 29 weeks. And he was my first baby. So the fact that he survived the few weeks after his birth seemed a miracle in and of itself. To see him growing up before my very eyes fills me with a wonder I can barely describe.
Being a senior portrait photographer isn't just something I do; it's who I am. Getting to spend a little time with these students is truly an honor. I love being a small part of their lives at such an important time and being able to document them and their interests in an artistic way for their families and friends to enjoy.
I hope you won't let that pass you by. The yearbook photos just aren't that imaginative and they are done quickly. Maybe you'd prefer to have a special session that really captures how special your child is.
