Let me explain a bit about Studio You Portraits vs the School Photographer.
Here in the Dallas area, for many years, many families have a tradition of having their high school senior photographed. After all, high school graduation is a huge crossroads in life. Maybe your daughter will go off to college next year, or maybe off to work, or the military. This is an important year for self-discovery for your daughter.
That's why I love photographing seniors so much. The world is wide open and bright to them and they are excited for what the future holds. I wanted to explain a bit about how the yearbook photos go at most schools. They high schools have a contract photographer that does the yearbook photos. These are "drape or tux" headshots and are supposed to look pretty uniform so that the yearbook looks nice. You may certainly purchase them but they won't show very much of your child's personality, because, as I've said, they all look pretty uniform. These photographers are also high volume, so you won't get very special care with them, which is understandable; they have to photograph hundreds, if not thousands, of students each year.
My photography is custom photography and I work with FEW clients instead of MANY clients. My whole business model is constructed around giving personal service to each and every client, including an in-home consultation, an in-home ordering session, and delivery to your door.
And I'm in an infographic sort of mood this week and thought you might enjoy a graphic representation instead:
