My family has known Emma's family for many years and they are very special to me.
I have photographed her family a few times over the years, but this was the first time I photographed Emma by herself.
Emma is a very talented young woman. She has an absolutely beautiful singing voice and also participates on the drill team at school. But, more than all that, she is a super sweet person. It was really fun to work with her by herself for the first time at this session.
Emma and I talked about doing a prom dress session and I found a perfect (secret) spot for it! She showed me her dress via text message, but I was still blown away when she arrived at her session in it. She was absolutely radiant! I loved how the color of the dress changed, depending on what light she was in.
We worked for about a half hour. Whew! In the Dallas heat, it sure was hot! But you can't tell by looking at Emma. She rocked her session. And she did her own makeup, too, which looked gorgeous.
This location was small but it had lots of interesting architectural features.
Emma was a natural in front of the camera. She looked beautiful smiling or not.
As the sun went down, I wanted to feature the building a little more, as much of it had been pretty bright up until this point. I love her soft expression here.
Are you graduating in the Class of 2016? You can wear a prom dress as part of your session if you want to! In fact, most girls have at least three different looks. I'm able to work quickly and efficiently to get the very best portraits.
It's only July, I know, but I have lots of portraits to get on the calendar. If you want me to do your senior portraits, be sure to book soon before they run out! Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 214783961.
