This Lake Highlands High School Senior Pictures session happened just a few weeks ago. The first time I met Abby was during her family's portrait session last year. Love the redheads in this beautiful family. (Oh, and Dad is a good guy, too.) Seriously, I love working with this family. So when Abby wanted to be a senior model for Studio You Portraits, I was thrilled. Because she was familiar with this spot from her family's session, she was hooked on going back there again. I must say, it is one of the most versatile spots in town, so we get lots of different looks there.
Here was our first stop:
We moved on to our next stop to be sure to capture this interesting bridge. I have to work quickly, in case there are other photographers wanting to use it.
We moved around the corner to one of my favorite bridges in town but there were a lot of people there. There is no way to reserve this bridge and it's really popular. So I begged a little. I asked if we could use it for 2 minutes and then we would be gone. That's where I got this shot:
Abby chose a beautiful slate blue blouse, which I knew would look great with the rocks and surrounding areas. When I see leaf reflections, I try to figure out some shots to take. Leaf reflections make a great background, don't you think?
Another by the waterfall:
We have to be really careful on these rocks, so I encourage the girls to walk barefoot and I carry their shoes to them. My assistant and I help them across the rocks.
It's gotten pretty cold for senior pictures here in Dallas, but you can certainly reserve your spring spot. I recommend booking now to ensure you can get in. We'll be working up to deadlines and with prom and graduation and the weather, there are only a few good weekends that give us time. Call 214.783.9691 today to reserve your appointment.
