Next, we'll talk about accessories. Whether it's a scarf, hat, necklace, headband, earrings, bracelets, or a belt, accessories really help you show your personality during a senior photography session. If you wear solids, as I recommend, the little pop of color from an accessory can give your outfit that extra boost that makes it go from a plain outfit to a WOW outfit, without taking away from your face.
Have you ever been to Charming Charlie? I love that store because their merchandise is relatively inexpensive, everything is sorted by color so it's easy to find something that matches your outfit, and they have a wide variety of styles to choose from. I do not enjoy shopping at all but I love going to Charming Charlie because it does not overwhelm me. (And also because I don't have to go into the dressing room to try something on.)
That being said, I caution you in overloading the accessories. You do not want to wear a large necklace with large bracelets and large earrings and a hat. One main piece with smaller pieces works great. For example, if you want to wear a colorful scarf, stick with basic earrings. Keep it simple and you will love how you look in your photographs.
