Senior Photography In Richardson, TX

"She shows cows and she is a ballerina", her mother told me about a year ago when her daughter, Andrea, signed up to be one of Studio You Portraits' senior models. I knew the moment I met Andrea that I was going to like her. Of course, I was intrigued by her unlikely combination of interests, but I found she is also a very sweet, respectful, and straight-forward person with a dry wit.

Our first session, her model session, featured her in her toe shoes:

In preparation for Andrea's senior session, which happened this spring, I went to their home for a consultation.  We talked about clothing and a location for her April session.  My heart sank the day of her session, though, when I was driving up 75 in a downpour. I just knew her session would be rained out. Andrea and her Mom were not deterred, though.  They wanted to have their session on the day is was planned.  They are busy people and we had scheduled this months in advance, after all.

After a couple of phone conversations, we decided to go for it, and we met at the Richardson park we had decided on at the consultation. One thing we hadn't accounted for in April was that it turned out to be a cold day.  A cold day in April in Texas?  No way.  Yes, way! Brrrr, it really was cold. And windy!  Andrea brought the outfits we had talked about, though, and was a real trooper.

She had won numerous awards for her dance and for FFA, which we wanted to feature with her toe shoe collection in a shot:

We didn't get rained on one bit and were able to get some beautiful shots by the waterfall:

It was so much fun to present the images to the family at their ordering session last weekend. We discovered that we, as families, shared some common experiences. That, my friends, is one of the great joys of running my business the way I do.  I love meeting and getting to know the families I work with.  What a blessing!
